Become a coach and enrol in our accredited coach training program “The Mindful Coach”. 

“The Mindful Coach” coach training program has been developed by Clear Light International and accredited by the Association for Coaching (AC). 

It is the ideal program for people who wish to retrain in a new profession and start their own coaching business, as well as for those who wish to gain new skills and apply coaching in their role in the workplace. 

The course teaches fundamental coaching skills fused with the principles of mindfulness, with the aim to increase awareness of the “self” and beyond. 

Our experienced coach trainer will guide you on your coaching journey through 11 modules, equipping you with a diverse toolkit of methodologies and techniques that you can confidently apply in a wide range of coaching contexts. Therefore, the program provides an excellent foundation for further specialization for your future coaching career. 

“The Mindful Coach” coach training is now delivered fully online with 40-hours of class-based training, 10 hours of self-study and at least 6 hours of practice. The class-based training is based on a blended approach, combining tutor-led presentations, group discussions, break-out sessions and Q&A.

Module 1 – Introduction to coaching

In Module 1 we take you through the history of coaching, explore the benefits of coaching, look at how coaching differs from other helping professions and discuss some of the main types of coaching. 


Module 2 – Coaching competencies

In Module 2 we examine at the key competencies, including skills, behaviours, attitudes, beliefs and values a mindful coach should have. We also explore what it means to be an ethical professional and discuss the role of continuous professional development and supervision. 


Module 3 – Stages of a coaching relationship

In Module 3 we introduce a best practice process to follow to ensure the safe and successful delivery of coaching from the initial conversation all the way to the end of a coaching relationship. 


Module 4 – Effective questioning and listening

In Module 4 we cover the importance of questioning, learn how to frame powerful questions and what questioning mistakes to avoid. We also look at what it means to listen actively and how to assess body language in the context of coaching. 


Module 5 – NLP Communications model

In Module 5 we introduce the NLP communications model and show the various factors affecting human communication to enable you to communicate with greater flexibility.


Module 6 – Representational systems

In Module 6 we introduce representational systems, a model describing how the human mind processes and stores information based on our five senses.


Module 7 – Predicates

In Module 7 we review predicates, which refer to the language people use that indicate their preferred representational systems.


Module 8 – Presuppositions

In Module 8 we explore presuppositions, the linguistic equivalent of assumptions, a powerful tool to raise awareness in communications. We take a deep dive into the various types of presuppositions and discuss what pitfalls to avoid. 


Module 9 – Meta model language patterns

In Module 9 we continue our journey to raise awareness in communications with the introduction of Meta model language patterns. We detail the various language patterns, demonstrate effective questioning techniques to respond, and discuss what information can be uncovered. 


Module 10 – Coaching models

In Module 10 we introduce a variety of coaching models, focusing primarily on the GROW model, the most common coaching framework. As we consider each stage of the process, we cover a number of tools and techniques to help clients move towards their desired outcomes. 


Module 11 – Closing session

In Module 11 we summarize the key learnings, invite participants to discuss their learning outcomes and celebrate their achievements. 

To ensure outstanding professional standard and quality for all our coach training programs, Clear Light International has been working with the Association for Coaching (AC), a leading independent and not-for-profit professional body dedicated to promoting best practice and raising awareness and standards of coaching worldwide.

“The Mindful Coach” coach training has been awarded Accredited Award in Coach Training (AACT) by the Association for Coaching, which means that the training you are about to embark on:

  • meets the AC standard for comprehensive coach training,
  • encompasses the application of the AC Coaching Competency Framework,
  • works within the Global Code of Ethics for Coaches and Mentors ethical guidelines,
  • provides practical experience,
  • trains core coaching skills (listening, questioning, raising awareness and designing actions),
  • develops participants’ ability to carry out basic coaching conversations within a specific set of coaching competencies and ethical guidelines,
  • includes reflective practice and in-class supervision, and 
  • provides sufficient training hours for coaches wishing to pursue Foundation Coach or Foundation Executive Coach accreditation with the AC. 

At the end of the coach training, participants successfully completing all modules and required self-study will be awarded a Coach Certificate from Clear Light International. 

Participants who become certified coaches will also receive from us a 12-month complimentary associate membership with the Association for Coaching (AC).

Clear Light International Coaching and Training OrganizationEszter is an NLP master practitioner and ILM Level 5 certified coach, focusing primarily on business and leadership coaching. She believes that the journey to professional development leads through personal development. Therefore, her approach combines a holistic blend of transpersonal coaching methods and commercial leadership techniques to help her clients improve work performance, manage people more effectively, improve relationships and communications. 

Eszter has a wealth of experience having spent 20 years at international corporations in Brussels and London, holding management positions at EMEA and global level. She has a bachelor’s degree in business from the IBS college of Oxford Brookes University.

In response to the COVID19 pandemic and to protect the health and safety of our trainers and students, we have moved all our in-person consulting and training programs to live online format. 

The investment to secure your place at “The Mindful Coach” coach training accredited by the Association for Coaching and to receive your coaching certificate is £1,800.
